Research and Development

Our dog products and accessories are designed at our office in Tennessee, and Team Hound Gear tests our prototype dog gear across the country in a variety of sports and climates. Our team dogs routinely get wet, they sometimes stink, and they get hot and cold. They participate in running, walking, water sports, and hiking activities, just to name a few. When we are done testing, we come home and rest and think of ways to make our product line better.

Our production facility is just a short drive from our home office. A prototype can go from an idea to a working prototype in the time it takes to walk your dog around the block - no airplane or boat rides to a foreign land necessary.

Manufacturing

We take pride in the fact that our dog products and accessories are created, tested, and handcrafted in America.  No automated machines for our hound gear - just good old-fashioned cutting and sewing by hand in manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and North Carolina.  We do our best to use domestic suppliers for labor and raw materials and look far and wide to find them.  We could have manufactured our products in some foreign land but we chose not to. We support homegrown innovation and creating jobs in America. It is just the right thing to do.
